My impression on Leaving Dirty Jersey is that it will be
dramatic yet interesting. I think it will be about a teenager who lives in a
nice suburban neighborhood but goes through many hardships. The main character
through all his struggles may resort to drugs. A friend or acquaintance of the
main character may lead him to be under the influence. Then when his parent
find out about their son doing drugs they send him out of New Jersey to go to a
rehab where he tries to make his life better without drugs. Then maybe he will
come back and officially stop doing drugs and if not then he will go to prison.
I haven’t read any of this author’s, James Salant, works so the author is
completely new to me. This means that I have no idea of what to expect from
this book. The subject of choice for this book is very common in suburban
towns. Many teenagers are doing drugs but some parents don’t even know and if
they do they don’t send their children to rehabilitation centers. I am looking
forward to reading the book and seeing what it is really about. I could be
totally wrong about the subject of the book but I wouldn’t mind as long as it
is interesting. Before choosing this book I wasn’t completely sure if I should
because the book can easily become boring. I do look forward to reading the
book because I may have been wrong and the whole story would be interesting.
